OkeOgun Tennis Club (Members Only)
INTRODUCTION
In 2017, youths from the 10 local government areas in Oke Ogun gathered in Iseyin for a youth summit tagged ‘Dreams Do Come True’. At the summit, the youths discovered that the prosperity of OkeOgun is on our land and in our hands, hence the establishment of ‘OkeOgun Green Revolution’ movement to unearth this prosperity.
OkeOgun Green Revolution has been in the forefront of encouraging youths in the area to engage in profitable, sustainable and commercial agriculture by creating platforms that generate networks that make farming easier, attractive and profitable to them.
So far, in conjunction with partners, the youths have cultivated over 200 acres of cassava across OkeOgun and engaged in several agribusiness activities.
In 2021, the youths organised OkeOgun Youth Agric Summit where the former President Olusegun Obasanjo led other eminent personalities to encourage the youths on agribusiness. With a good number of our youths planning to relocate home for the purpose of Agribusiness and several other Agriprenuer trooping into the region, the demand for decent accommodation in secure, serene and modern community is on the rise, hence, the development of ‘OkeOgun Green Estates’.
‘Oke Ogun Green Estates’ provides accommodation in a gated community with modern facilities for members and general public in each of the ten local government areas of OkeOgun.
When we announced the birth of OkeOgun Green Estates, we said that it will come with all modernity. We do not want our youths, who are relocating home for the purpose of agribusiness and whom the estates are primarily meant for, to miss anything in the city.
It is therefore our pleasure to announce the formation of ‘OkeOgun Tennis Club’, to serve as an avenue for social networking among members while they play the game of Lawn Tennis.
The formation comes with the construction of a state of the art Tennis Court that guarantee safe and enjoyable experience for players at the recreation zone of Commonwealth Green Estate, Okeho.
The court also come with a Bush Bar, where members can have fresh palm wine with assorted bush meats, snails, and all those good stuffs. The Bush Bar has a giant floor Chess Board and facilities for other small games including Ayo Olopon.
This is just for a start as we are creating the perfect setting for pleasure and relaxation as we do agribusiness.
The Club will have courts and club houses in all our green estates in Iseyin, Saki, Igboho, Kisi, Sepeteri, Igbeti, Ilero, Iganna, Ago Are, Ipapo and Ado Awaye.
The membership of the club is, however, not limited to indigenes of OkeOgun, it is open to all citizens of the world who shares in our ideology.
We are done talking about how underdeveloped our region is, it’s time to do something about it and you can be part of the pioneers who are rewriting the story of OkeOgun.
